Advent calendars are a lot of fun to make and to do with your kiddos! I love our advent surprise boxes. They are easy to make and fun for the kids to fish out a new surprise each day! But whatever calendar you are using, these are a great idea for the advent calendar & for stocking stuffers too!
What makes them great, is that not only are they something fun to open, but also something fun to do together during the holiday season!
The kids get a gift, and we get to spend some time together creating it!
Flying Tiger has a lot of great options like these adorable wooden Toy Soldier ornaments and wooden snowmen decorations. The kids can paint the decorations themselves. These cute mini wooden ornaments were also a fun find! They are easy to color with permanent pens, or to paint as well. All of these great objects were 3 Euro and under at Flying Tiger! If you don’t have a Flying Tiger near you, I am sure you can find great craft supplies at your local Hobby Lobby, Michaels, or other craft store.
Flying Tiger also had these adorable DIY plastic ornament kits! Too cute! But they are really easy to recreate on your own! I will show a DIY tutorial next week on making cute ornaments with your kids! You can buy the supplies and give that as a gift, then help the kiddos to make their own creation!
If they don’t fit in your advent box, then that is part of the fun!! I love to add a note in the place of the object that says, “See Mom”, or with a clue to find where I have hidden it in the house. A scavenger hunt for advent countdown? What could be more fun!?!!!
